I used Tesco car insurance for a few years, up until last year. Originally I was looking for car insurance and everyone you spoke to was proclaiming how fantastically cheap their insurance from Tesco's was. I rang, got through reasonably quick and was quoted a pleasing sum for a years fully comprehensive insurance on a fairly new Vauxhall Corsa, ...

I have used Tesco car insurance for the past 2 years purely on price and promotions they were running. The first year I got a quote, which beat everywhere else, and £50 in petrol vouchers on top. The second year they came out cheap and I did not want the hassle of changing companies. The first year I was with Tesco everything went ...

ive insured my past five vehicles with tescos over the past 8 years and have always found them a lot cheaper for me than any other competitors i searched with. The cars i've insured ranged from family size cars to very very fast modifed sports cars and again like i said before no matter what vehicle i had they were cheaper and better value for ...

Well, I've just read some of the reviews on Tesco Car Insurance and have been really amazed by some of the negative statements made. Especially ones like "Tesco are stealing my money even though I no longer have a car". Car insurance is an annual commitment, you have to continue to pay for the full year you signed up for regardless of ...

Recently changed car insurance companies from tesco to esure, however I was with tesco for two years. I changed as I found it cheaper and tesco were unable to match the price. When I first joined I was given £25 in petrol vouchers (which I had to call about several times before I actually received them!) and there does always seem to ...

There are so many companies on the market today, promising to give you the best price available on car insurance. Before the internet had established it was a lot harder to find a deal for insurance as it was a case of ringing all the brokers up and trying to find the best deal available, today its a lot easier to do it online. I have ...

Please do not rate this review - still waiting for Dooyoo to move it to proper channel. Thought this might help some fellow 'frugal living enthusiasts' in these difficult times! Yes, you really do get £50 of free food shopping vouchers from Tesco Car Insurance. Ours arrived during the week and we are going to spend them ...

I was with tesco last year, had an accident on 28dec06 driver admitted at the seen. Then apparently his insurance said that he had witness, his wife that was in the car saying it was my fault. This dragged out for over a year, we made over 50 calls to tesco and ended up dealing with their solictors ourselves, as tesco were incompetent. The lack of communication is tescos problem, they know nothing at all. I had to ring the other parties insurance aswell. Tesco never ring you to let you know where the claims at. I finally got it sorted in Jan 08, only to find out the other driver admitted the claim 5 months before, I found this from the solicitors. The whole year we had stress to find this out which topped it all off. (moral is) dont use TESCOS car insurance just cause its CHEAP!

I was involved in a RTA on Friday 22nd Feb 08 the party involved admitted full guilt to me and the police. When i got home from the hospital i rang Tesco insurance only to find out that my direct debit mandate and my policy been cancelled without my knowledge, and that Tesco had failed to inform me of such an action. They said they sent letters to ...

Tesco insurance should be stopped! They are good with shopping but thats it. Everything is fine until you make a claim, nice and cheap, but when your premiun goes from £300. to £600. becausse someone hits you and wont admit fault, even though they admitted fault at the time of the accident, gave me a dud phone number and told me to get a quote and ...

Stay away from Tesco car insurance !!!! my daughter was hit from behind by a aggressive male driver and now they say she is to blame! We've just had a conversation with the rudest woman we have ever come across and she tells us that the other driver was injured !!!eh hello !!! wake up Tesco ! we have three cars insured with them but we'll be taking our custom elsewhere

Stay away from Tesco insurance. They demonstrate complete incompetence, laziness and unsubstantiated greed. I was involved in accident, third party at once admitted fault, and so their insurers. Not only I have informed to Tesco Insurance full details of 3rd party but even reference number of the 3rd party insurers. Third party ...

I have been with Tescos car insurance for just over two years now and have been very happy with the service provided and cost. I pay annually by direct debit, which again I have had no problem with. Also this time when I re-newed it they sent me a £20 gift card to spend in store. I had only just passed my test when I originally went ...

I've used Tesco car insurance for a number of years - they've always been quite cheap and I have never had to claim as I've never had any accidents, so I cannot testify as to their service in that respect. What I do know is this. I didn't need my car insurance any more, but I had 2 months left in the yearly contract and so I decided to ...

Long story but, dont expect help on bank holidays. Tesco dont open, you will be dealing with 3rd party companies who by no fault of there own know nothing about your policy terms or situation. So help is basic to say the least. Also if you claim for only a window being smashed not the content and there is a 3 day delay in getting stock, you will ...

Well, where can I start, i took out a policy for my 1992 Peugeot 405 and got it for a good price, but i've now no longer got the car as it broke down and would have cost too much to fix so I have bought a new car on finance with 1st year free insurance. i've tried and tried to cancel my tesco policy and 2 months later I am still having payments ...

We went with Tesco last year on our old Micra and it had to be written off in November as it failed its MOT and would cost far more than the car was worth to repair. They said it would be best to drop the cover to TPF&T so that we could get our 1 year No Claims Discount. Well the following month we were apparently in an accident yet the car ...

Other day I was looking for quotes for car insurance. Tesco is one of the companies I used to get the quote. I went on-line at their site. After I filled in the details I was given a quote which looked very good on paper. It was £150 cheaper than the nearest rival. When I looked at excess and small print I was gobsmacked. It ...

Avoid Tesco Car Insurance at all costs! Our car was stolen from outside our house, through no fault of our own. It was locked and immobilised and the Police reckon it was stolen by a professional gang using a low loader. Over 2 months later, Tesco still haven't paid out and have given no indication of when (if ever!) they will. They ...
